Terri Sullivan, PT

Born of active world traveling parents, Terri has movement in her DNA.  Whether it’s professional competition through rowing and marathon running or leisure activities such as cycling, hiking, cooking, or gardening, movement has always been a key to joy in her life.  After making this realization in 1998, she applied to physical therapy school at the University of Washington with a goal to share her joy of movement with others.  Since graduating in 2000, she has helped thousands in this endeavor through education, therapeutic exercise instruction, and manual therapy techniques help put fun back into a patient’s function.

Terri has an extensive background in orthopedic physical therapy.  Continuing education has included extensive study of the shoulder, knee, and pelvis along with numerous spine courses and up through Level II in NAIOMT training.  Additionally, Terri has specialized in gait analysis and orthotic fabrication for the past 7 years.  More recently, she studied bike analysis, which not only meshes with her personal interests, but is certainly becoming more of a need for her patient population as biking becomes more prevalent in Seattle.  Terri enjoys treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, but particularly likes the challenge posed by patients with shoulder and spine conditions.

Terri has been a northwest native her entire life, spending a majority of those years in Seattle.  Camping in the Olympics, hiking in Cascades, cycling Whidbey Island, and running the urban terrain are only a few of the activities that she has enjoyed.  With having much experience with a variety of activities that are common for so many Northwesterners, Terri understands a patients desire to return to full function as soon as possible.

Now as a member of Movement Systems Physical Therapy, it is her hope that she can impart her basic philosophy of movement for you or your patient, which is putting the fun back into function.
