Fawn Coussens, MSPT

Fawn Coussens graduated from PT school at Regis University in Denver, CO in 2001. Previous to this, she studied Dance and Movement Physiology at the University of Washington and graduated in 1994. From 1994 to 1999, she enjoyed traveling through several countries around the world and learning to speak Spanish.

Fawn’s primary interest and experience has been in out-patient orthopedic clinics, with additional experience an in-patient rehabilitation setting treating patients with neurological and traumatic injuries. With her background in movement and dance, the teachings of Shirley Sahrmann, PT, PhD, FAPTA, were instantly integrated in her therapeutic approach to recovery, prevention and wellness. With a passion for teaching and body education, she loves working with people’s movement and body awareness as well as muscle balance and activity specific training.

In addition to being trained in neuromuscular retraining and muscle imbalances, Fawn has taken many continuing education courses in manual therapy including courses with the North American Institute of Manual Therapy (NAIOMT) and the Jones institute for Strain & Counterstrain. She has also developed a subspecialty in treatment of vestibular conditions.

In her personal time, Fawn likes to balance her life with snowboarding, dancing, triathlon training and competition, hiking and listening to play-by-play baseball while cooking with her friends and family.
