Megan joins our practice with a specialty in diagnosis and treatment of movement system impairment (MSI) syndromes. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Washington University in St. Louis, MO, Megan uses the MSI model as a basis for choosing among therapeutic intervention options such as therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular reeducation, and functional activities. This method of patient management is the philosophical approach upon which MSPT was founded over 15 years ago. Megan’s clinical practice is based on clinically relevant research with a critical analysis of evidence as it relates to movement dysfunction. Of equal importance is her focus on promoting health and wellness as a means for improving quality of life for her clients and patients. Prior to graduate school, Megan graduated with a B.S. in Exercise and Sport Science from Iowa State University (ISU). At ISU, Megan was particularly interested in exercise physiology as it relates to fluid electrolyte content and its relationship to hydration when exercising in mild and hot climates. This research has led her to an interest in working with endurance athletes on optimal performance. Megan has always been fascinated by the human body and healing process. Furthermore, she personally strives to use her education to help others achieve their goals in therapy to live balanced and healthful lives. In her free time, Megan enjoys being outdoors including running, water sports, and snow sports. She also loves dogs, traveling, music, and coffee. New to Seattle, she is excited to explore our varied regions.
